About weddingworld.co.uk

Weddingworld.co.uk was first created in 1999. Initially we aimed to provide a simple to use site that would enable anyone planning a wedding to find what they required without the clutter and distractions that seem to appear on the majority of other wedding websites.

In 2003 we decided to take weddingworld.co.uk into the next stage of its development. This was to create a more intuitive website that would embrace the latest technology available for creating dynamic and interactive websites.

In order to do this we needed to generate revenue from the site. We wanted to do this without losing sight of what we wanted from weddingworld.co.uk when we first created it. We didn't want hordes of advertisers cluttering the home page and taking the people who are important away from the site and the suppliers who are trying to attract interest.

We didn't want to charge £400 for an advert that many suppliers would find difficult to justify. These sites tend to concentrate on selling thier own products and those of the large companies who monopolise the wedding industry. The small 'Budget' wedding websites tend to be designed with no particular plan and add the advertisers on an ad-hoc basis. We aim to fill this gap and provide a quality web site at a reasonable price ...

We didn't set out to make fortunes at other peoples expense. We want to provide a service that is beneficial to both suppliers and the people who require these services.
